Feel the Color

Feel the Energy

Feel the Movement

What is Spontaneous Painting?

It is an opportunity for playful self-expression in a safe, non-judgmental environment. We approach the blank piece of paper with no idea of what we are going to paint!  This allows you to paint whatever comes up in the present moment rather then painting from your head.  It is like being five-years-old and just playing with the colors you are drawn to, letting the painting unfold.

We stand up to paint in order to facilitate more energy moving through the body. Each person picks a color from the table that speaks to them and dips their brush in that color to start the painting. As the person continues this process the painting will emerge and flow all on its own, often “morphing” into different shapes and forms. The painting changes color and design – going through various stages of unfoldment. The person will follow the energy/color that is most alive for them in that moment. If a person gets “stuck” we go to the table and pick another color that speaks to us – it is an inner process – that allows us to express authentically with color and movement of the brush.

No experience necessary!

Spontaneous Painting is a fun easy process, it all flows naturally out of you with very little effort. Some of the personal benefits that emerge from doing this kind of art are:

  1.  A new understanding and connection with the inner self
  2.  Relaxed, peaceful feeling
  3.  Increased clarity
  4.  Shedding light on what you are working on at this time in your life
  5.  New awareness and personal growth
  6.  Fun and playfulness.

“Spontaneous Painting helped free up my creative process.  I had been stuck both physically and creatively for the past year and it created a pathway for new emerging ideas to come through.  It also helped the physical healing process by generating hope that my body will heal and here was evidence of life inside of me coming from a subconscious level.  “
